Sunday, September 16

Hi Church!
Hope all is well with you. This week is the second week of the discipleship program at 9:00 a.m. I know that sometimes it is difficult to readjust to a new schedule. So you can still come to discipleship once you get used to the new times and such. In worship as in discipleship the key text for the weekend is Mark 8:27-38. The sermon is focusing on three moves in the text that are key to what it means to be a Christian.
In three weeks, on September 30, we will be having an all-church meeting following the worship service to vote on the parking lot improvements. After the city approved the plans, things have moved rather rapidly with the goal of beginning construction in early October. Please plan on attending this important meeting. If you haven’t pledged yet, you still can.
Tonight is movie night here at FBC. The movie is “McFarlandUSA” and it begins at 6:30 p.m. Come on out, don’t come alone, and enjoy the movie and free refreshments.
